I spend hard time with my projects in this semester. Now, almost I will be done with last project. I got a good experience from my classes. I will graduate in this summer. I hope you were enjoying with my blog.

CMS

CMS assignment:

I like it these assignment because it gives me chance to develop my courses. This assignment taught me how to improve my skills with my students. CMs became important part in education system because it will support curriculum, teachers and students. I was really enjoyed with this assignment because it was Flexibility.

Second Life

Second Life is a good technology for students to learn how to make characters meet others on line. It allows students to interact in a “safe” computer setting, rather than taking chances with their lives. Second life gives people the chance to take risks and to not be boring. In real time / life situations we may be afraid to say something because of other people’s reactions to what we say. In second life, we can make a group of students because of the flexibility of joining people together. I have just begun to use “second life” this semester and found it to be an interesting tool to use to teach my students. I enjoy the second life as a way of transporting myself into a “cartoon like” scenario; it’s real, but not really real. It does not affect my first life in the sense that it is “make believe/ not real.” This second life allows students to take on line classes. I like it because I can present my presentation in second life, I do not get “nervous” in front of people in second life, as I do in “real life” situations.

Drawing Tools

Drawing Tools:

We will talk about drawing tools and its affect on the project. Because the drawing tools are important to the designer in making pictures for the classroom. In the technology we have a lot of drawing tools. These tools have the same goal, but they are used differently, when working with different ages of students. The drawing tools is a good technology for creating projects, also it supports my classroom. We should know how each portion of the drawing tools work in each option. In my classroom I taught my students how they can use the drawing tools. Before the start of class I gave an instruction on how to use the drawing tools, and then allowed the students to work with and practice using the drawing tools. We should keep working with the students, as the students will improve only when using the tools in a repetitive way. Each drawing tools program has its own strategies, and we need to know these different strategies and when/how to use them.

Podcast and Vodcast:

I will talk about the difference between vodcast and podcast. The vodcast is just a video and audio. I think the vodcast is important/better than pod cast. I know that there are differences between vodcast and podcasts. I think vodcasts give people a good reaction because they watch video and audio at the same time. The video is very important to learn the student. This is the main important thing in the vodcast. The vodcast has two advantages 1st advantage is the student has both the video and audio topic at the same time. The 2nd advantage is that the student knows the environment , they know where the speaker is speaking to them from, i.e., their home, their office, the street, etc. In the pod cast the speaker is just speaking, I can add some music, but can not show pictures. This is is why some people don’t like the pod cast. You can see now a lot of people like i pod with video and audio, and now a lot of companies try to make a good screen for the I pod.

WebQuest
I found the WebQuest assignment to be beneficial to me as a future teacher because I feel like it is a great alternative to the worksheet/handout. It allows for more interaction on the web as well as promotes interaction with the assignment outside of the classroom because of the ease of access. I also feel like it is easily update able for me as the teacher. It can always remain a work in progress. Also, the WebQuest has a good advantages for educouter or leaener:
1- Webquests offer an organized approach to using the web. Students have resources at their fingertips and make the best use of time. I believe
there is nothing worse than using precious class and lab time to send a student looking for websites on a topic.
2- easy for use it.
3- Allow students to work at their own pace, either individually or in teams.
4-Teach students to be creative researchers rather than simply information surfers.

The internet

The internet has become important thing in our life because you we look to any house we will find internet and computer. The world has become a small village why because if you would like to know any information you find it in the internet. In the past the people were going to library to find information’s. Another thing, the internet has become data for the teachers and students. The Internet affects in two things:
- The education.
- The society.
The education:
The teachers are using internet in the learning. For example, the teacher would like to explain to his students how the animals can to live with the human he will go to YouTube and he will find a lot of movies about that case.

ITEC

When you search by the Internet, you will find many definitions about Instructional Technology. However, I want to write my own definition. Instructional technology means to follow a new technology systematically to help teachers to find a good way to teach students. In the past, ITEC was not important in education, but now it has became an important part of education. “Instructional technology is the use of a variety of teaching tools to improve student learning.” It helps teachers and students improve skills in the classroom. My goal in instructional technology is to use these tools at home and school. Teaching people how they can use technology with their children. I hope to work with teachers and students as one group. Their roles will be important to improve instructional technology. I am teaching this way because I would like to improve education. To find the best way to improve it, I must study instructional technology. Instructional technology is not just helping education; it is fixing mistakes previously made in education. After I finish my degree I would like to work in the private sector to provide each community, this new technology (computers and everything that goes with them.) I wanted to build centers in each city to help students learn. The success is supported by research. When we support research, we will investigate our goals in instructional technology. I have to develop my skills when I finish my master’s degree. By attending this conference, and reading the research, I will learn how to develop instructional technology. Teachers both want and need to learn how to use instructional technology in the classroom and at home to help their students. There are many technologies being used in the classroom today, but there are many more available for use. Instructional Technology has become necessary in the field of education, it must continue to be improved upon and used in order for our students to learn. I have found that in Saudi Arabia, there are many teachers who are unaware of the advances in technology, and therefore they are not being used in the classroom. We need a training program to teach the teachers, so they are better prepared to teach their students.
